Gold rings are a traditional symbol of marriage, which is why they are perfect for decorating a newlyweds' car. Typically, wedding decorations are attached to the roof, radiator or hood of the car. There are no standards, it all depends on the tastes of the newly-made family.
Unfortunately, wedding salons offer an extremely meager selection of rings to decorate a car. But something truly exclusive is unreasonably expensive.
How to make rings with your own hands
If you spend a little time, make an effort and start the process in a good mood, you can make a magnificent decor for the car of a young married couple.
To make the decoration you will need the following materials:
- flexible corrugated pipe with a diameter of 1–2 cm (color is unimportant);
- a large roll of wide tape;
- a piece of foam for the base,
- satin wide and narrow ribbons;
- artificial flowers;
- good glue, scissors, knitting needle;
- beautiful fabric and other decor.
Step-by-step instruction:
- You need to cut two pieces from the prepared pipe, from which you should twist two rings of different diameters. One should be a little larger, and the second a little smaller. Traditionally, this combination symbolizes a man and woman getting married. But this is not at all necessary; the rings can be made identical.
- Then you need to firmly fasten the ends of the pipe with tape. It’s best to wrap the resulting rings completely. For reliability.
- After this, you should take the selected material with which you want to decorate the rings. It could be a bright satin ribbon, fabric with an interesting texture, silver or gold foil... Color and texture are a matter of taste. The main thing is to carefully wrap the rings and firmly secure the ends with glue so that the material does not move or come off in the midst of the holiday. This stage should be treated very responsibly, because it is the basis for further composition.
- In order to make a stand, you need to take a small piece of foam. The one that is usually placed in boxes with household appliances is suitable. Using knitting needles or an awl, you need to make neat holes in the foam. Thin ribbons should be threaded through these holes to secure the rings to the stand.
- To ensure reliability of the design, you can beautifully tie the rings together or secure them with glue.
- Now you need to decorate the foam stand. Beautiful artificial flowers (live ones will not last all day outdoors), decorative ribbons, bells, and soft toys are perfect for this. You can use figurines in the form of the bride and groom or white doves. It all depends on taste and imagination. The main thing is to secure everything tightly with superglue, because the decoration will be placed on the car while driving.
For a non-standard stylized wedding, a composition with rings can be decorated with tree branches, dried flowers, twine, candles, beautiful stones, large shells, lace, fur and artificial pearls.
How to attach rings to a car?
In order not to lose the composition during the road, it is important to secure it well on the hood or roof of the car. This is done in two ways.
Fastening with tapes
- For this method you need to take long, wide satin ribbons to match the composition. The foam base of the decoration should be tightly wrapped with these ribbons, and then their ends should be pulled under the hood and tied securely.
- If the rings are located on the roof, then the ends of the tapes need to be brought into the car interior and fixed under the ceiling. For reliability, it is better to use several tapes.
Magnetic mount
The second fastening method is much simpler and more inconspicuous - neodymium magnets. They need to be placed at the bottom of the ring composition. Thus, the decoration is firmly attached to the metal surface of the car. Neodymium magnets are quite strong. But you shouldn’t use ordinary ones; their attractive force is not enough to hold the decor on the car while driving.For the same reason, rings should not be secured with suction cups or double-sided adhesive tape.

It is very important to please the bride and groom, because everything on this day is done for them.
