What is a molded bra cup?

Voluminous, high breasts with a beautiful cleavage are the dream of every woman. You can lift your bust and slightly adjust its parameters using bras with fillers. For example, using a molded cup.

What is a molded cup?

What is a molded bra cupThis is a widely used bra model. It is characterized by seamless one-piece cups made of thin-walled or dense foam rubber, which at high temperatures on a machine was given the anatomical shape of the breast. The part is covered with material on top in such a way that the joints and connections are invisible. The product can come with or without a push-up effect. Regardless of the presence or absence of volume-increasing elements, nipples are not visible through the cups of this model.

Important! The molded cup accounts for the majority of all “smooth” bras on the market.

The classic variation is made of solid foam rubber, but other materials and layers are often used.The filler can be gel or silicone, which can be used to adjust the fit of the bust. There are airy, air-oil options and bras with a special cream. These variations weigh little, practically do not weigh down the structure, and therefore it “sits” well on the body.

Description of the model, purpose

Molded cup imitates the curve of a high, full female breast. The given shape is strong enough to withstand the weight of the mammary glands and not deform. Hard, often metal, bones take on part of the load. The result is a design aimed primarily at raising the bust and demonstrating it.

Important! Such a bra will never completely adapt to the breasts if they initially had different shapes. You need to immediately purchase a suitable bra.

molded cupThe left cup is a mirror image of the right one. They end at a distance of several centimeters from the nipples. Due to this, the upper part of the neckline is not covered. With the correct size, an appetizing cleavage and symmetrical roundness opens up to the eye.

The bra is suitable for women with large and small breasts. However, ladies with really curvy figures may experience bust loss and the need for constant correction. The trouble occurs not only due to the fault of the “wrong” size, but also due to the undersized model.

Important! Due to the absence of seams, such a bra can be worn under tight-fitting clothes. For example, under sweaters made of thin knitwear.

Types of busts with molded cups

The key difference is the thickness of the cup. According to this criterion, the following are distinguished:

  • white and brown bustthin (less than 7 mm);
  • regular (8–10 mm);
  • push up (1.5-2.5 cm);
  • double or super push-up (over 2.5 cm).

According to a broader classification based on style, the following types of molded cup exist:

  1. Segment. It consists of 3 elements, there is a lining, and there are bones on the sides.
  2. Balconette is an open bra with underwires, wide-set straps and cups with a horizontal top cut. The line ends not much above the nipples.
  3. Push-up balconette differs from the previous version by the presence of inserts or seals in the lower part. Due to the additional detail, the bust looks fuller and rises a little higher.
  4. Push up – this style is aimed at girls with small breasts. Due to the presence of seals in the lower and middle half of the cups, the bra lifts the breasts, brings them closer to each other and visually enlarges them. With a molded cup, the insert is connected to the foam rubber and is inseparable from it. Very large - 2.5 cm or more - seals allow us to talk about double push-up.
  5. With cast frame. Original PRIMAVERA technology, in which the bones are replaced with a solid frame. It not only provides support from below, but also acts as a volume-increasing insert. (in the middle part it turns into a seal).
