How to make your own bra wiresMany girls have encountered such a problem as a broken or protruding bra wire. If you don’t have much of a budget to buy new underwear and think that nothing bad will happen if you replace the fixing element with a homemade one, then this article is for you.

Material and tools needed to make bra wires

To make the underwires for the bra, we will need:

  • Cotton buds
  • Glue
  • Needle and thread
  • Plaster or tape
  • Moleskin
  • Scissors
  • Lighter
  • Pen refill
  • Pliers

Tips on how to make your own bra wires

There are several ways:

  • The easiest way is to take out the underwires and wear underwear without them. This method is suitable for girls with small breasts; ladies with curvy figures should move on to the next point.
  • You can quickly get rid of the problem by dipping the edge of the bone in glue and pushing it back, and then sewing up the torn section of the underwear.
  • You can apply a patch or tape to the area where the bone has come out to reduce chafing. But this is for temporary wear.

  • In this case, you will need cotton swabs and perseverance. Glue the cotton swabs together with glue or adhesive tape in the shape of an arc, then insert the resulting structure in place of the seeds.
  • Another option with cotton swabs. Remove the cotton wool from the sticks and carefully place it on the edges of the seeds. Sew where the tissue is torn.
  • Press the bone tightly to the original place and go over the tear site several times with a sewing machine.
  • For this method you will need moleskine. You should cut off a small piece of fabric to eliminate the appearance of the repair, then push the knuckles behind the fabric and remove the protective film. Press everything tightly.
  • Finally, you can use a rod and a lighter. To do this, you need to pull out the edge of the knuckle with tweezers (or pliers) and file it a little so that it fits into the end of the rod. We, in turn, heat it up with a lighter to soften the process. After this, we cut off the excess rod and smooth out the unevenness by heating the end of the knuckle. We insert the bone into its original position and sew it up.

To ensure that your underwear lasts for many years and pleases your eyes, you need to follow some rules:

  1. Wash the bra in a special container for washing clothes, or by hand.
  2. Buy from quality materials and, preferably, from branded stores.
  3. Wash your laundry with a mild shampoo.
