Circular sewing foot

The circular foot is a very popular device nowadays. Let's take a closer look at it.

The device for circular embroidery can be adjusted to 3 diameters and allows you to choose the size of the patterns: large kugi are performed at a diameter of “+”, medium “I”, small “-”.

To move from one diameter to another, loosen the screw on the foot and lock it in the new position.

When using the foot, you don’t need to help it with your hands or move the material – it takes on all the tasks. The foot is a universal device for sewing in the circle.

Let's describe in more detail how it works:

  • We apply a circle pattern to the material, mark the center point;
  • We install the embroidery device in accordance with the instructions included;
  • We direct the teeth of the conveyor downwards;
  • Select the desired line. Circular embroidery can be done with a straight stitch, overlock stitch, zig-zag stitch, or decorative stitching. It is possible to use a double needle and multi-colored threads;
  • We take the diameter “+”. We lay the material and place the center of the foot on the center of the circle. Let's start embroidering;
  • The flower consists of 3 different diameters:

Choose any line you like. Using the selected line with a width equal to “0” we embroider a circle. It’s better to do this twice to make it brighter;

We set the line to 3.5 millimeters - we lay circle No. 2;

We set 7 millimeters - we sew circle No. 3.

The flower is ready. Other flowers can be made with the same diameters, but using other types of stitches, and you will get a varied bouquet or pattern.

To embroider leaves and stems, another foot is used - for embroidery and darning.

As you can see, nothing complicated. It is quite possible to do without a special embroidery machine.

There are also devices that increase the accuracy of making circles - modules.

The kit includes: instructions; paws for ribbons, braids, securing 3 cords; plastic template with circular markings; screw for securing the module; the rod and the module itself.

The module can be attached to other legs of the sewing machine.

When choosing thin fabrics for embroidery, you need to glue a special stabilizer to the reverse side using an iron, which will strengthen the fabric and prevent it from moving.

Thread the needle before strengthening the turning rod.

You cannot use stitches with a side shift of the fabric.

How to use the module:

  • Pierce the center of the circle with a rod;
  • Align the holes in the needle plate with the device mount;
  • Tighten the fastening screw;
  • To set the radius of the circle, point the triangular mark at the ruler of the modular fixture;
  • Align the rod with the indicator hole and press until you hear a click;
  • Insert fabric;
  • Embroider the required circles. When finished, unlock the rod and pull out the material.

Such devices greatly facilitated the work of seamstresses and needlewomen. After all, now, even without an embroidery machine, a novice seamstress is able to decorate her product with a charming pattern and give it uniqueness.
