Not everyone knows what ranfors fabric is. It belongs to the class of innovative fabrics; it appeared on the fabric market quite recently, but has already gained popularity. Ranfors Türkiye developed for the production of bedding. The largest textile company combined the properties of satin and calico in the material. When mentioning the material, it must be said about ranfors cotton that it is a really durable fabric. Increased density and pleasant, smooth texture make it ideal for sewing bedding. When making the material, special weaving and high-quality yarn are used. Things remain bright, beautiful for a long time, and do not lose color. Ranfors fabric, the composition of which is almost always completely natural, is an ideal choice for the home.
Ranfors fabric - what is it, unique features
A bedding set or pillowcase made of calico will be much stiffer. Calico products have a heterogeneous structure and are slightly translucent. Ranfors is a softer, more comfortable sleeping set.Its structure involves a tighter fit of the threads than in calico. Moreover, both materials consist of one hundred percent cotton. What makes Turkish ranfors stand out:
- Increased strength of the fabric is achieved through diagonal weaving. It also makes it much more tender.
- The transverse and warp threads have the same thickness.
- The fabric has a density of at least one hundred and twenty grams of cotton per square meter.
- There are up to fifty-seven threads per square centimeter.
- The threads are strongly twisted, despite the small thickness of the threads.
- It should be noted when characterizing ranfors that it is a material made from carefully cleaned fibers that are carefully ironed.
The advantage of calico bed linen is its lower cost. The innovative fabric has just appeared on the market, so the price of euro linen is quite high.
Ranfors, what kind of fabric is this - bed linen?
Ranfors material is a fabric intended for sewing bed linen. Indeed, home textiles made from it meet most consumer wishes. What are the advantages of sleeping sets made from ranfors:
- It washes well, does not stretch and does not lose color.
- The patterns on the fabric are bright, clear and resistant to external influences.
- There are no nodules on the surface.
- The texture is matte, smooth.
- The skin breathes due to excellent thermoregulation.
- No additional care is required, the fabric is hygienic and practical.
- They absorb moisture well. Its amount can reach twenty percent of the weight of the canvas.
There is a low-quality, cheap material for the manufacture of which polycotton is used. The proportion of cotton in it is minimal, but there is a large amount of polyester fibers. This fabric does not tolerate high temperatures.Washing in water hotter than forty degrees can lead to creases and pilling the first time. This material is not ventilated and causes allergies. Therefore, you should choose ranfors fabric that is entirely cotton or with a minimal addition of polyester.
Ranfors - what kind of fabric is it, bed linen, principles of care
Ranfors bed linen can be washed in the same way as linen sets or calico products. First of all, we arrange the bedding by color and fasten the zippers. Some housewives recommend turning things inside out. The following indicators are set for the washing machine:
- for spinning products – maximum speed;
- for natural material we set the temperature from forty to sixty degrees;
- for fabrics with the addition of polyester – temperature forty is maximum;
- Wash on cotton cycle.
Drying clothes can be done by any means. It is better not to leave products in the open sun so that they do not lose their color brightness. Bedding should be ironed at maximum heat. Steam from the inside out.
Percale or ranfors - which is better?
Before purchasing bedding sets, many people begin to study what ranfors is and why it is better than percale. Let's look at the main differences and similarities between the materials. This will help you make the right choice.
- Visual characteristics. Percale has a smoother surface due to the use of sizing. When translucent, the density of the fabric is clearly expressed. The texture of ranfors is not so smooth and has some looseness.
- Principles of care. According to statistics, percale products can withstand about a thousand washes; for the second material, this figure reaches three hundred.Washing at sixty degrees causes Turkish cotton to shrink; it is recommended to wash it at forty or twenty degrees. Percale tolerates 60-degree water and ironing well.
- Wear resistance. In this regard, the fabrics are almost the same. Both fabrics have a long service life.
- Prices. Ranfors is produced in Turkey, so it costs much less than Italian percale.
- Weave Features. Percale fabric is made from a plain weave. Untwisted threads are used. Ranfors is made from twisted thread using diagonal, plain weave.
- Stability of appearance. Natural ranfors perfectly retains its original appearance for many years, just like percale. If the ranfors fabric contains linen or polyester, there is a high probability of creases and pills appearing after washing.
If we compare the prices and characteristics of both fabrics, we can say that they are both ideal for home textiles. Ranforce cotton is cheaper and has some disadvantages, percale is more expensive and slightly better.
Ranfors or satin - which is better?
For the production of satin, a specialized satin weave of threads is used. The unique shine and softness is provided by elongated overlaps of transverse threads on the front surface of the material. Due to these characteristics, satin is very popular among lovers of beautiful and body-friendly underwear.
To obtain the fabric, twisted cotton threads and double weaving are used. The more the threads are twisted, the more intense and brighter the shine of the material. It remains, despite washing, for a long period of time. Withstands two hundred more washes than ranfors.
Egyptian cotton or mako satin is considered the most suitable for making luxury bed linen. The cost of such a set is very high, so many people prefer to buy another type of satin - jacquard satin. The third type of bedding material is stripe satin. It is often used for making linen in hotels. A characteristic difference is the presence of a striped pattern.
When comparing the advantages of satin and ranfors, both materials are almost the same. The only difference is that satin is more shiny, looks expensive and elite, but at the same time costs many times more than ranfors.
