Roller for doors against drafts, knitting pattern for elements:

• First we decide on the size of the toy. In our case, we take a length of 84 cm. The diameter of the dog will be 7.5 cm.
• We select materials: acrylic is suitable as yarn - 4 skeins of 100 g of one color (K) and 4x100 g of another (C). The dachshund will be two-colored.

We take knitting needles with a thickness of 5mm;

Filling – padding polyester, holofiber balls or foam rubber;

For decoration – 2 buttons, 1.5 cm in diameter;

Knitting density: 10x10 cm with stockinette stitch thread in 2 folds - will be equal to 14.5 loops and 18 rows. We knit in 2 threads!

Scheme of work execution:

Let's start with the body:

We cast on 5 loops with threads of color K.

Row 1 – 1 knit stitch, 1 knit stitch from the broach – 4 times 1 knit stitch (you get 9 stitches);

Row 2 and all even rows – purl;

Row 3 – add 1 stitch from the next stitch and repeat until the end of the row (18 stitches);

Row 5 – add 1 stitch from the next stitch and repeat until the end of the row (27 stitches);

Row 7 – add 1 stitch from the next knit 2 stitch, repeat until the end of the row (36 stitches). Mark the end of the row and then knit evenly without adding loops.Change colors like this:

We knit 24 rows with yarn K (threads C – 2 rows, threads K – 3 rows) twice, with threads C – 2 rows, threads K – 20 rows, (C – 2 rows, K – 2 rows) 15 times, with threads of color C knit to a length of 76 cm from the mark we placed at the end of the row.

We finish the dachshund’s body like this:

Row 1 – with thread C we knit 2 knit stitches together, 2 knit stitches and so on for the entire row (you should get 27 loops);

Row 2 and all even ones - purl;

Row 3 – knit 2 together, knit 2 and so on for the entire row (you should get 18 stitches);

Row 5 – knit 2 together until the end of the row (9 stitches).

Cut the thread and use it to pull off the remaining loops. Sew, leaving a slit for filling the craft. After filling, we sew it up completely.

1. Paws – make 2 legs of one color (K) and two of another (C). Cast on 9 stitches and knit 6 rows; In the next row - 3 knit, and from the next loop: 1 knit + 1 purl + 1 knit. Repeat this 3 times, +3 persons. (should make 15 loops). Knit 2 rows with knit stitches, close them, sew both sides and sew to the body of the dog. We do the other 3 legs in the same way;
2. Tail – cast on 23 loops with threads of color K. Knit 5 cm in satin stitch (knit stitch). Finish, bind off the loops. Fold the workpiece lengthwise. Sew so that the tail tapers towards the end. Sew the piece to the body.
3. Ears – we do 2 things. We cast on 20 beach loops of color C.

Row 1 – knits;

Row 2 – add one loop to the first and knit until the end, repeat the last 2 rows 4 times. You should get 25 loops. We knit 9 rows. We close the loops.

We sew the ears to the head.

We make eyes - sew on buttons, embroider the nose and mouth with thread.

Crocheted roller for window against drafts

This craft can be simply crocheted in the form of a long bright or multi-colored tube, or it can be turned into a cute little animal (caterpillar) that serves as a window decoration, just by adding a few decorative elements.

Holofiber, synthetic padding polyester, etc. are used as filler. The length of our caterpillar will be equal to the width of the window.

Advice: To knit such a draft pillow with your own hands, you can use the remnants of any threads lying around your home. Even if they differ in the thickness of the thread, you can fold the thread in half.

• The caterpillar will be knitted in a single crochet pattern using a crochet hook. Using this technique, we will knit a tube equal in length to the width of the window (you can use the same roller under the door).
• We chop the foam rubber using scissors and fill the roller with it.
• You can leave it like that, or you can use decorative details to transform the tube into a caterpillar. We will need 2 beads or buttons - for the eyes and a bunch of threads - to use as hair.
