However, in some cases, people encounter a problem when the slider or the entire zipper breaks. This can happen for various reasons: long-term use, mechanical damage, rupture, dirt... In this case, the fastener does not fulfill its purpose and cannot connect the edges of the product. Typically, product owners turn to a workshop or studio for help in restoring the lock. In this case, the technician will simply replace the slider or insert a new zipper.

- When the retaining links are displaced along the edges of the zipper, the pawl will fall out again. To prevent this, secure them with pliers.

If you feel resistance, slightly release the sides of the slider. After this, move it to the lowest position. Re-press the edges with pliers, returning the product to its original appearance.
