How to properly dry a wet jacket

If your leather item has been exposed to moisture, do not panic. It is necessary to carry out a number of resuscitation measures at the first opportunity. But first you should learn a few very important rules.

You can't do that

• You can’t immediately put a wet jacket in the closet. This will have a very bad effect on all the things that are there. Before storing any clothing in a cramped space, even for a short period of time, it should be carefully prepared.
• It is forbidden to hang a wet jacket on the back of a chair, the hook of a hanger, doors or door handles, or clotheslines.. And also for everything where the skin will break and become deformed.
• Need to avoid drying at high temperatures. Strict taboos include hair dryers, irons, radiator dryers, and even fans. Hot air causes the skin to deform and become hard. Therefore, wet clothing should be placed away from all heating appliances or open flames.

Drying rules

• The best thing to do for your favorite item in such a situation is to let it dry naturally. Leave it in a ventilated room away from direct sunlight and any heating devices.

How to restore a quality look to a jacket

After the jacket has completely dried, it needs to be brought back into shape.

Application frequency The amount of care and water-repellent agents applied to the jacket directly depends on the weather conditions outside.

• If they are constantly walking outside the window rain, drizzle or creeps fog, then the skin should be treated in one day. This way the material will be less susceptible to moisture and dampness, and the product will last much longer.
