Vinyl is not just the well-known records. This is a fabric, and nowadays clothes made from it are in particular demand among fashionistas, tourists and athletes. Vinyl is a completely synthetic material and does not get wet (drops of water are not absorbed, but flow down over its surface). At the same time, it holds its shape well, and the variety of colors of modern vinyl products is pleasantly surprising.
This material was first obtained in France in 1835. Moreover, this discovery happened completely by accident: several scientists mixed various synthetic components and conducted experiments with them.
However, vinyl entered mass production only in the first half of the twentieth century, when it was patented in Germany in 1939. Today, the main producers of this fabric are China and South Korea.
Vinyl is a simplified name for synthetic fiber. The full name is polyvinyl chloride. It is a mixture of resin, rubber, paint, plastic and glue. As a result of various chemical reactions, a vinyl sheet is obtained - perfectly smooth, soft and pleasant to the touch.
This material has many advantages:
One of the main advantages of vinyl is that this material does not require complex maintenance. To remove dirt, simply wipe the surface of the product with a damp cloth. In addition, this fabric can be washed. True, squeezing and ironing is strictly prohibited. It is also not recommended to use chlorine bleaches (otherwise the color will simply “go away”) and wash the product in hot water.
However, this material has one significant drawback - it practically does not decompose, and therefore is very dangerous for nature.
The vinyl product should be stored in a dry, ventilated area, away from direct sunlight.
Vinyl is used in the manufacture of a wide variety of products:
Vinyl clothing is a whole trend in the fashion industry. Bright raincoats, leather jackets, skirts, trousers or dresses look creative. With the help of such wardrobe items you can create bold, unusual looks.
For example, a vinyl raincoat (both men's and women's versions) perfectly protects from rain, and in combination with stylish boots with thick soles it will look brutal, rough, but very stylish.
A biker jacket made of this fabric goes well with a voluminous hat, a wool scarf and straight-fit jeans. This sporty look is suitable for daily walks.
A tight vinyl dress looks tempting when paired with high heels. True, such an outfit will only decorate an ideal figure; in other cases, the image can turn out to be vulgar and tasteless.
