Eco-friendly clothing is not new to people who care about the environment today. Recently, the famous online store Lamoda launched high-profile collaboration with the PUMA brand and the First Mile community. They presented a whole collection of clothes made from recycled materials.
Sports suit made of plastic
A whole collection of clothes and shoes made from recycled plastic was presented on the virtual shelves of the store. Volunteers of the First Mail movement collected more than 40 tons of plastic bottles, which subsequently went through a complex process of processing.
Special factories built in Honduras, Haiti and Taiwan not only provide people with eco-friendly clothing, but also provide much-needed jobs.
The result of the experiment was a whole collection of sports tops, T-shirts, leggings, tights, trousers and sweaters, as well as lightweight running shoes. All models presented are made from 83% recycled plastic. The clothing is light and comfortable, taking into account all the needs of athletes during training.
A little about First Mail
The British company has been involved in the secondary raw materials market for many years, in particular plastic recycling. Volunteers collect plastic bottles from trash cans and the ocean and give them to factories for complex recycling.
There the plastic is cleaned and then crushed into flakes. Afterwards, the finest threads are pulled out of them, which also undergo a processing process in order to become softer and not cause negative reactions in people working out in clothes.
Sportswear is absolutely safe, even for people with sensitive skin types.
PUMA company - a course towards environmental friendliness
The well-known brand has been actively engaged in developments in this area for several years. Products began to be produced from recycled materials, and they are no different in quality from the company’s products that are loved by many.
Several stages of texturing the material resulted in the threads becoming strong and safe, very soft. The fabrics perfectly wick away moisture during workouts and allow the body to “breathe.”
Online sales on Lamoda
This is not the first time that a large online store has staged such an experiment. Earlier, the site launched sales of Nike Air VaporMax 2020 Flyknit sneakers. This happened in September of this year. The model immediately received a lot of positive reviews and gained popularity in certain circles.
In addition, this summer the online platform began cooperation with the US brand Patagonia. This is a company that makes clothes from organic cotton. The company transfers 1% of funds from each product sold to the account of environmental activists, supporting care for nature and the environment. The company's employees also do not stand aside, regularly participating in various promotions.
The future lies with environmentally friendly products. We must rethink our attitude towards natural benefits and use the resources provided sparingly. Wastefulness is unacceptable in this day and age.
