Purple suits
One of the hottest color trends of 2022 will remain a firm favorite in 2023. Lilac has graced everything from everyday wear to special occasion outfits, and it looks like purple tones across the spectrum are here to stay.
While pastel shades of the color were the most popular at New York Fashion Week, richer, deeper shades broke through at Ulla Johnson and looked especially chic paired with lighter, lavender pieces for a tonal ensemble. Fringe is the perfect trend for summer as it doesn't go as well with coats and of course you want the tassel details to be on display at all times. Ideal for dancing or lounging in the sun, fringe adds extra depth and movement to any garment.
The level of fringe on the runways varied: PatBo and Bronx & Banco had it very striking, while Proenza Schouler and Ulla Johnson offered softer and calmer versions of this trend. Although tassel details are often associated with the definition of boho style, for 2023 fashion trends this look seems less bohemian and more glamorous. Party dresses that showcased this trend best.
