At the end of May, a bright event took place in the Netherlands - Eurovision 2021. In recent years, the popularity of the European show has been steadily declining, but this season it became clear that the song competition is experiencing a new round. Viewer interest has grown, greatly facilitated by the pandemic, during which mass events were prohibited. Having managed to miss bright events and concerts, everyone joined the screens, watching the performances of the vocalists.
The most striking outfits of the competition
Note that the event really turned out to be colorful, not inferior in pomp to the previous shows. The participants tried to impress the jury and spectators not only with their vocal abilities, but also with eye-catching costumes, the style of which was very different from each other.
A big bet was placed on retro images. Image makers worked painstakingly to create the images of the vocalists.
Manizha
Let's start with the representative from Russia - singer Manizha. The main costume was a loose-fitting red jumpsuit with a drawstring at the waist. Such images are very popular this season.
However, I would like to pay special attention to the cascading sundress in the patchwork style. The girl admitted in one of her interviews that it was made from pieces of fabric sent to her from different parts of the world.
The stage costume turned out to be bright and authentic, characterizing our country. The output is spectacular and expressive.
Maneskin
The Italians, who ultimately took first place, became a bright spot against the backdrop of the classic images of other performers. They preferred the country's famous design house Etro. Outfits in the style of the 70s were invented for them. The stylists admitted that they were inspired by the images of the idol of that time, David Bowie.
The artists appeared in tight-fitting leather outfits in a deep burgundy color, decorated with gold threads.
Go-A
The Ukrainian group pleased the stylists with their impeccable taste. The futuristic outfits of the team - snow-white with black inserts - looked very impressive. Against their background The soloist looked expressive in a long chiffon skirt and leather corset. The picture was complemented by a neon green feather cape on the girl’s shoulders.
Tusse
Swedish singer chose a shocking image, appearing before the audience in a red satin two-piece suit with a belt. The highlight of the 19-year-old artist’s look were contrasting high gloves embroidered with rhinestones, beads and ruffles.
Before the performance, the artist amazed reporters at press conferences with bright suits with catchy prints.
Victoria Georgieva
According to the stylists, the girl chose a costume that was too faded and nondescript, which did not reflect the artist’s individuality. She appeared before the audience of the largest competition in a deep blue pajama suit. Modestly, a little matches the style of the room, but is not suitable for such a large venue. This is exactly how critics described the clothes of the Bulgarian singer.
More sparkle!
In a separate line I would like to mention four contestants who dressed in similar dresses. These are representatives of Malta, Cyprus, Albania and Moldova. The girls chose silver mini-dresses, embroidered with rhinestones and sequins.
The stylists recalled that the first singer to wear such an outfit at Eurovision was Ani Lorak, who then competed for Ukraine and took second place. Apparently, the girls were inspired by her success and decided to try their luck themselves. Unfortunately, they didn't succeed. None even made it into the top five.
