How to tuck pants into ankle boots

Army bootsIn 2007, the Russian army switched to wearing high boots instead of tarpaulin and chrome boots. These boots have high tops, which, together with fixation of the ankle, allow him to perform the most free movements. The risk of spraining your foot in such shoes is significantly reduced. The military called these lace-up boots berets.

Fashion for ankle boots

Nowadays, men in high boots can be found not only in the army. These shoes found their niche in men's fashion a good dozen years ago., and since then, on the streets of our cities, young people in ankle boots no longer shock anyone.

Previously it was believed that these were the shoes of punks, rockers and skinheads. Now Boots are chosen for fishing, tourism, war games (for example, laser tag), extreme sports, as well as for everyday wear.

Fashionable ankle boots

With high boots, they usually wear camouflage pants or khaki cargo pants, black or brown. Can be worn with jeans or sweatpants.

Important! Classic trousers do not go well with combat boots.

How to tuck pants into ankle boots correctly

Before tucking your pants into your boots, you need to lace them in the usual way and make knots at the end of the laces. This is done so that when putting on shoes urgently, the laces do not fall out of their sockets. The laces need to be longer.

Tuck pants into berets

There are several methods that differ from each other both in the attributes for tucking the pants and in the way the trouser leg is laid around the leg. Let's take a closer look at them.

Description of refueling methods

With fold

This is the easiest option for tucking pants into boots:

  • Loosen the lacing or unlace it halfway so that your foot fits freely in the shoe.
  • Put on your shoe.
  • Straighten the edge of the trouser leg with your palms on the right and left sides at the same time so that you get a fold.
  • Immediately lace up your shoes all the way to the top.
  • Tie the laces into a knot and pull out its eyes until they are secured with the end knots that were made in advance.
  • Tuck the two long loops made from the laces under the boots on both sides.
  • Repeat the same steps on the other leg.

A fold of loose fabric can be made on the front or back of the leg.

The disadvantage of such a filling – the seams of the trousers dig into the skin and rub it. When driving on wet terrain or in bad weather, water that gets on the pants flows directly into the boots, and sand and pine needles from the pants are sent there as well.

Also, the option of tucking pants into combat boots with a fold is not very comfortable to wear: the pants come out of the shoes when running, intense movements, or just when walking, and after a while the fabric bulges out unsightly in the knee area.

Important! This method is not suitable for shoes with thick laces - they fit very tightly under the shoe and pinch the foot in this place.

With elastic bands over the leg

Tuck pants into berets

Store-bought elastic bands with a Velcro connection (Velcro) will help you tuck in your pants and create a neat gathering of the legs at the bottom:

  • The boots are put on and laced.
  • The ends of the laces are tucked under the boots.
  • The trouser leg is rolled up from the bottom and pulled up just above the boot.
  • The trouser leg fits tightly around the lower leg, with loose fabric forming a fold at the back.
  • An elastic band with a Velcro connection is attached to the top of the trouser leg along the circumference of the leg.
  • There should be a margin of a couple of cm to the edge so that the fabric of the trousers does not come out during active movement.
  • The final stage is the gradual lowering of the trouser leg pulled up and the uniform smoothing of folds and gathers.
  • The same is repeated for the other leg.

This method is convenient for men with very thin or large lower legs. But for use in active units, the following method is more convenient, which allows you to instantly remove the knife from the boot.

With elastic at the bottom

Method of tucking pants into berets

There is nothing complicated here. It’s worth trying once, and your hands will do the necessary actions themselves. You will need two rubber bands connected along the circumference of the shin.

The following actions are performed:

  1. A standard elastic band is put on the leg over the pants and pulled up to the knee.
  2. The boot is put on and laced.
  3. Lower the trouser leg down and straighten it, and then bend it up 10–12 cm.
  4. Lower the elastic to the edge of the trouser leg so that there is still 3-4 cm left to the end.
  5. Now lower the edge of the trouser leg, which is at the top, down and, having reached the elastic, bend it around the entire shin twice.
  6. Spread evenly.
  7. Repeat on the other leg.

With high socks

High socksThere are situations when the elastic band breaks during a forced march or gets lost. Then you need to use the capabilities of army (or other high) socks, the length of which is significantly higher than the shoes.

Slightly different steps are required here:

  • Put on and lace up the shoe.
  • Hide the laces behind the edge of the boot.
  • Turn the high part of the sock inside out and pull it over the high part of the boot.
  • Lower the trouser leg at the top.
  • Connect the two edges together - the trouser leg and the sock - and also tuck them together 3-5 cm below the bottom.
  • Spread the resulting folds evenly around the entire circumference.
  • Repeat the manipulations for the other leg.

With these methods, everything that gets on the pants simply rolls down and not into the shoe. The upper part of the shoe is securely protected from the weather by trousers.

If it is inconvenient to tuck the laces under your boots, you can hide them under your sock and only then tuck your pants.
