Soviet sneakers: a little history

In the 60s, GOST was adopted for sewing “rubber and rubber-textile sports shoes” and mass production of sneakers began.

Important! Soviet models were made in blue or black, from textile or fabric with a diagonal weave, with white, sometimes red, edging and a light sole. The rubber parts and laces remained white on most models. The bone was covered with an overlay in the form of a rubber ball.

It was considered especially chic to appear at school or college in a Soviet-Chinese production model. This was the first experience of cooperation between the two countries. The model itself was made of blue textiles, and all trim and rubber parts were white.
