To use it, you need to insert both aeglets into the lower holes from both sides from the outside to the inside. Insert the right one into the second left hole from the inside, then from the outside again into the second left hole. Pass it diagonally from the inside into the left fourth hole and thread it from the inside to the outside. Make a horizontal stitch from the outside to the inside and bring the lace out through the left sixth hole.

Straight lacing

If you are not serving in the army and you are not concerned about the special reliability of the laces, but want it to be beautiful, then you can lace your sneakers with straight stitches, hiding the jumpers at an angle. To do this, insert the halves of the lace into the lower holes. Pass the right one into the second right hole from the bottom up, pass it straight into the second left hole, inserting the lace from the outside to the inside. Next, enter from the inside out into the fourth left, and then from the outside in into the fourth right. And perform the same procedure with the sixth holes - from right to left.

For the left lace we still have the third and fifth holes, but we will insert it from left to right. The laces are tied from the inside between the fifth and sixth left holes.

Roman lacing

By lacing up your sneakers this way, you will surprise those around you. They will think that you have encrypted some significant Roman numeral. Insert one eglet into the sixth hole on the left from the outside, pass inside to the fifth hole and pull it out through it. Next, the lace goes into the fourth hole on the right, insert it from the outside to the inside. Pull the lace into the second right one from the inside out. And finally, stick it into the first left one from the outside in.

Now we need to go back in the reverse order, but first we take the lace out into the second left hole, return to the first right one, and insert it inside. From the third right one we take the lace out, draw it horizontally into the third right one. We take it outside to the next fourth room. We make a cross again, inserting the lace into the fifth right one. And through the sixth right we take it out. If you do everything correctly, you will get the number XIX.

Checkers

This weave is suitable for sneakers that are worn without tying them. It looks best if you take two laces in contrasting colors. Insert the yellow cord into the first two holes from the outside to the inside. Pull the right one into the second right cell, slide it horizontally and insert it into the second left one. Take it out to the third left and push it inside into the third right. Lace in the same way to the end of the cells. Draw the left end of the lace from the inside to the end of the right one and bring it out through one hole.

From the wrong side, tie the blue one to the yellow cord and pass it in a mosaic pattern (through one) from bottom to top, wrap it and do the steps in reverse order so that the stitches alternate. Make another circle and tie the blue cord to the yellow one on the opposite side.

Try each of the above methods, decide which one you like best, and use it in everyday wear.
