Today, large, voluminous sneakers are at the peak of popularity. They were in fashion back in the 90s, and have returned to modern times only recently. An interesting couple looks impressive, complements the image, and sometimes even leads it. There are many brands of such models, one of the most popular is “Fila”.
How to distinguish the original
As always happens with popular crazy shoes, they began to be copied and fakes created. No matter how high-quality the copy is, it will still leave signs of a non-original product. Want to know how to distinguish real Fila from a fake? Read on.
Package
The check must begin with the box: it must be made of high-quality thick cardboard. Manufacturers of copies save on this - they use soft, cheap cardboard, so the packaging can be wrinkled or deformed. On the box there is a special sticker, which indicates the product article, information about it: size, name, small image of the sneakers.
For a fake, such a sticker may be attached crookedly, display only information about the size, contain errors in the spelling of words, or be completely absent. Inside, the shoes are additionally wrapped in thin paper with Fila logos located throughout the space. A fake pair has such a wrapper that is either simply white or completely absent.
Design
Craftsmen are able to copy goods quite well. Therefore, shoes must be carefully checked. Real Fila always has a pair of perfectly sewn tags with even letters. The seams and stitching of the original sneakers are perfect and correct: there are no protruding threads or overlapping seams anywhere.
Pay special attention to the back of the sneakers: replicas do not have a smooth seam without bends; it is always slightly curved or deformed. Also, real Fila has no traces of dried glue at the joints.
Color. The colors of fake shoes may be unusual. Often there are colors that the company has never used when creating the design. If in doubt, check to see if this model was ever produced.
Material. Check the entry on the product label with the company’s website - the composition must match.
Perforation. There should be a perforated logo on the toe and on the upper (inside). Moreover, the original dots will be even and small. For a fake, they are large, and the drawing will be crooked.
Lacing. Pay attention to the design of the inner edge next to the laces: on the branded model it is perfectly white, on the fake it is rather dirty. The use of low-quality materials takes its toll.
IMPORTANT: branded shoes have reflective inserts in the places where the laces are threaded. The materials for such inserts are too expensive for replica manufacturers to use.
Sole. Real “Fila” shoes have an elastic sole and a signature pattern on the surface. Counterfeits have problems with proportions: often the sole is larger, its width is greater than the edge of the product. Due to low-quality materials, counterfeits have a persistent unpleasant smell of cheap rubber.
Brand logo. There are many logos on the surface of the product, and in the original shoes they are made perfectly, from high-quality threads. The fabric inside is soft, smooth, without lint. Fakes have noticeable deviations in design, protruding threads, and “printing” defects.
The original product is equipped with an anatomical insole and a logo is placed on the heel.
Label. Inside the sneaker (right) there is a special label with information about the model. The letters on it are clear, they are lined up in smooth, neat lines. Under the label there is a sticker with information about the product, with an individual product number on it. If you enter it on the website, you will receive all the information from the manufacturer about this pair. The number matches what is on the box. The original sneakers have different stickers on the right and left: the last five digits of the number are different.
Price
The original is not much more expensive than the fake. You should not skimp on quality: a fake will last less, cause discomfort and will differ in design.
