Fashion designer and artist was born in 1911 in Vinnitsa. Her father served in the first cavalry army. It is amazing that Vera went through the First World War and the revolution.

The talent for drawing was discovered in childhood and there were no problems with choosing a future profession. Vera studied at the Moscow Fine College.

The personal life of Vera Aralova turned out to be quite interesting. In 1932, a group of actors from America visited the Soviet Union with a grandiose dream - to open a theater on the territory of the USSR. But, unfortunately, it was not destined to come true and almost all members of the group went back to the United States.

For example, she painted paintings, created theatrical scenery and thought through the design of her women's shoes. And, it is worth admitting, she was very successful in her family and creativity. The painting, the author of which was Vera, sold out quickly, and the shoes were liked by a large circle of people, but were not mass produced.

During the reign of Joseph Stalin, due to limited interaction with Western countries, difficulties arose with the spread of fashion. Only in 1956 was it possible to organize the first foreign show during the International Clothing Competition in Warsaw.

The boots were not comfortable or elegant, so Vera’s plump foot could not squeeze into the boot. This is where the idea of ​​boots with zippers came into play.

Boots with a snake sewn into them were first presented at Russian Fashion Week in Paris in 1959. What they saw so impressed those present that many French manufacturers soon tried to buy models of boots for further production, but this was categorically refused.

Abroad, production began in less than six months. In the USSR, such boots began to be produced only 15 years later under pressure from fashion designers and journalists.
