How to iron trousers without creases

Pants without creasesIn recent years, classic trousers with arrows have been losing their popularity. Increasingly, people prefer not to have sharp arrows, and their absence has long been frowned upon by business fashion.

Ironing trousers without creases

The very specifics of ironing trousers are ideal for creating creases. But what if arrows are not needed? How to style and iron trousers so that there are no folds left as a result? Let's look at the whole process.

Preparing for ironing

Before work you need to prepare everything you need:

  • surface for ironing (ironing board or, for example, a table covered with a thick cloth);
  • iron with steam function;
  • gauze;
  • spray bottle with water;
  • vinegar.

Important! Before ironing, you need to make sure that there are no stains on the fabric, otherwise any contamination, even the most insignificant, will be very difficult to wash off after contact with a hot iron.

You should also check your pockets not only for the presence of foreign objects, but also for various matted fibers of fabric, softened after washing a piece of paper accidentally left inside, and other unnecessary things. All this should be gotten rid of.

The item must be turned inside out and ironed that way.

To choose the right temperature and steam mode, you need to know what fabric the pants are made of. This is usually indicated on the label along with washing and ironing instructions.

Ironing process without arrows

Ironing without arrowsDescription step by step:

  1. Moisten the gauze, it should not be wet, but only damp, and iron the densest places through it (belt, pockets, hems). Do not press the iron tightly, otherwise the seams will be imprinted on the outside of the item. If the item is made of linen or cotton, then it is not necessary to use gauze.
  2. Iron the entire length of the pants on both sides, gradually folding back the seams. They need to be ironed at the very end with barely noticeable pressure and using the steam function.
  3. Turn the pants right side out. First of all, you should iron the upper part, as on the wrong side.
  4. Pull each pant leg in turn onto an ironing board or pad and iron them. The iron should not be held continuously, but moved from place to place, as if steaming. The legs should be gradually turned with the unironed side up to avoid wrinkles.

Attention! After ironing, you should not put on your trousers immediately; they need to cool down. Otherwise, they will almost immediately wrinkle again, and then all the work will be in vain.

Features of materials that need to be taken into account

Ironing trousers without creasesEach material has its own characteristics not only in operation and washing, but also in ironing. The iron settings and the process itself depend on this.

  • Vertical steaming or a steam generator helps avoid wrinkles on fabrics that cannot be ironed traditionally.
  • You can easily get rid of creases on trousers by ironing them from the inside out through gauze. To do this, you need to place the iron on wet gauze at the maximum permissible temperature until the gauze dries. You can repeat several times until the crease is completely eliminated.
