People who could afford such a luxurious accessory paid huge amounts of money for them and got them through their acquaintances. And if not? Do you have to put up with the need to wear old-style products?
Those who did not have such an opportunity had to act differently. The invention, which, as the proverb says, is cunning, was simple and effective. Ladies simply drew arrows on the back of their legs, simulating the presence of stockings. Additionally, you could coat the caviar with nut butter. It created the illusion of the presence of nylon on the leg.
It is noteworthy that they did this not only for going out, but also in everyday life.

But it turns out that it was not our compatriots who came up with such an imitation, but Americans. And this story began even before the war.
How did nylon stockings come about?
Sheer nylon stockings were invented in 1939, just before the outbreak of World War II.
