For one item you need 2-4 cans of spray (Kiwi, Salamander, Damavik). Aniline powder is also often used at the rate of 1 sachet/1 kg of sheepskin. You need to choose the right color and type of paint. How to prepare a place and a sheepskin coat
Before you begin the dyeing process, the sheepskin coat must be cleaned of dust and dirt. If this is not done, the paint will lie unevenly, and stains and smudges may remain on the surface. Pockets, sleeves and collars should be cleaned more thoroughly. These are the parts that are most susceptible to contamination. For these purposes, you can use a vacuum cleaner and brush. To prevent the sheepskin coat from shrinking, it is important to use warm liquid. You can paint with a soft brush for clothes. Next, you need to wait for the paint to be absorbed, and then wipe with a weak solution of vinegar solution, and then with warm water. Be sure to dry the item in natural conditions, for example, on the balcony, to get rid of the smell of the paint used. The sun's rays should not fall on the item.
How to paint in water
Many people consider this method of coloring complex, time-consuming and even extreme. To do this you need the necessary materials:
- 0.5 kg. salt;
- 100 g liquid laundry soap;
- 20 g wool dye;
- bucket and small containers.
For sheepskin coats, experts advise choosing a paint color that is several shades darker. This will prevent the appearance of undyed pieces of fabric. It is advisable to use high-quality materials from trusted manufacturers.
Preparing for coloring
The product is also first knocked out of dust and cleaned with a brush. Then the buttons are ripped off. In general, the process is the same as in the case of the dry painting method.

- Dye, salt and fixative are diluted in separate jars with warm water;

- Pour 2 cups of hot water into a jar or basin and add powder paint. The resulting mixture is stirred and poured into a bucket;
- Place the item pre-wetted with water in the resulting solution;
- Place the item in the dye composition for half an hour, sometimes changing its location;
- Next, the sheepskin coat is rinsed in clean water until the liquid is clear. Then they repeat the same thing, but in ice water.
Security measures
Safety precautions should be observed, as coloring pigments may contain poisons and carcinogens. It is better to protect your hands by wearing rubber or plastic gloves. It is better to wear a mask or respirator on your face. It is recommended to protect your eyesight by using special plastic glasses. It is better to paint indoors with access to fresh air. After completing the process, wash your face and hands with soapy water. It is better to rinse your mouth with clean drinking water.
