About the designer
Teuta Matoshi's path to universal recognition resembles the plot of an interesting film or fairy tale. Her childhood was spent in the city of Pristina, the capital of Kosovo.In a family with nine children, where only the father worked, there was always not enough money. Teuta learned to sew from an early age and created clothes for herself and her brothers and sisters from any suitable rags. It’s unlikely that she thought about the future of a famous designer then; rather, she intuitively did what was necessary for the family.
But over time, she began to receive compliments for her homemade outfits, and people began to place orders for her. That’s when the dream of having my own atelier was born. After school, she entered the Institute of Arts in Kosovo and soon received a profession as a designer. Thanks to talent, patience and determination, she went from the owner of a small atelier in her homeland to the owner of a fashion house in New York. The Teuta Matoshi brand has existed since 2008. Fans of her incredibly elegant, fabulously beautiful handmade dresses live in Eastern Europe, Asia, and America.
