A dress for a woman is created to make her very gentle and elegant. The most popular dresses are models with openwork, because they change the entire model so much.
Even a simple cut using openwork can create something very magical.
Small subtleties in creating very elegant dresses for women using knitting needles and openwork patterns. We are trying to make these new items for ourselves and on our own.
Yarn and knitting needles
Yarn for an openwork dress is suitable for almost any style, but it is worth noting that the openwork always looks cooler with a thin thread. But in a thick one, it can simply disappear and become invisible or even something so ordinary.
But the yarn must be hypoallergenic and non-prickly.
More often, openwork dresses are created for summer or autumn, not too warm.
The knitting needles are selected after the yarn and they must be suitable in size and model. That is, for circular knitting, straight and regular knitting needles.
Sample
Before executing the model, you must link the sample. A small piece of similar yarn and with the pattern of the selected model.
This way it will be possible to accurately determine the density of the knitting (this is the content of loops and the content of rows of 10 cm) and then using these indicators it is easy to select the set and number of rows for the dress.
How to knit an openwork dress step by step
It’s very, very easy to create a dress using instructions where everything has already been calculated, but you still shouldn’t rely on the exact dimensions of the product and first knit your sample and calculate everything for your size. The article shows detailed descriptions of knitting patterns for children and women.
Next are two dresses, which are made with an openwork pattern and using knitting needles. These are very fashionable products for this season. A combination of several openwork in one and an elegant collar in the second. Just look at the diagrams and try to make these intriguing models.
White openwork dress with lantern sleeves
A very delicate model, suitable for a summer walk. In it you can not only take a walk in the park, but also go to visit friends or to the beach.
The work requires:
- very thin acrylic yarn;
- knitting needles number 2.
Stage: measurements
For the model, you need to measure your waist circumference with a measuring tape. Measure the height of the back and the length of the product from the collar to the hem line. It is better to use 3/4 sleeves with a small border. In order for the dress not to be too tight for the waist circumference, it is worth making good increases to knit a very loose product.
When knitting a sample, keep in mind that the leaf with the mesh will have the same number of loops, but the length will always be shorter. Therefore, there is simply no point in reducing the waist in the model. You just need to include a small strip of mesh along the waistline and you will get a small and very smooth decrease.
Stage: before
The front side should be knitted from bottom to top.. Therefore, for size 44 knitting needles you will need to cast on two waist circumference sizes and plus 10 cm. The result is 210 loops. Knit a flounce with this set. Run 4 repeats up the openwork pattern. Decrease on the last row. The shuttlecock needs to be shortened exactly by half. And to do this, simply knit two loops together throughout the entire row.
After the shuttlecock, switch to a mesh pattern with a leaf. Make one rapport up. Then switch the entire product back to the openwork pattern. Knit with an openwork pattern to a height of 5 repeats. Again, but along the waist line there is a mesh with a leaf. For the last time, make an openwork pattern for the front part to a height of 2.5 repeats. Cast off the middle stitches for now and leave 6 stitches for the sleeves with simple knit stitches, step back from the edge by 5 stitches. Knit these loops from each edge to a height of 17 cm.
Stage: back
The back is done in the same way as the front. There are some minor changes to the neckline. For it, it is necessary to make a shallower depth and to do this, knit the last strip of the openwork not at 2.5. And at 3.5 rapports.
Stage: sleeves
For sleeve size 44 you need to cast on 120 stitches. First knit a mesh with leaves one repeat in height and then an openwork to a height of 3.5 repeats. Again the mesh and again the openwork, but to a height of 2.5 repeats. Make small roundings in the last rapport. Cast off one stitch every other row. Also knit the second sleeve.
Stage: assembly
Sew the shoulder seams of the fronts. Then sew in the resulting sleeves. Make the side seams and you can tie the neckline. To do this, use a grid pattern with leaves. You only need to knit one rapport along the edge and a beautiful neckline is ready.
Stage: decorations
Crochet is used for decoration. These are very beautiful shells along the edge of the sleeves.
With this dress ready, you can try on this luxury.
Dress with a zigzag pattern
A dress made of multi-yarn knitted using an openwork zigzag pattern, it simply changes before your eyes. A simple stockinette stitch would make this pattern very boring. The most difficult thing is the use of multi-yarn; if you look closely at the model, it is not just gray - it is a combination and some bright inclusions. This shimmer is especially noticeable in the sun.
The work will require:
- multi gray yarn with rainbow inclusions;
- knitting needles number 3.
Stage: measurements
Take measurements for the hip circumference and immediately add 8 cm for a loose fit. The model is knitted in a circle and later it will become clear why. Be sure to knit a sample and determine the number of loops in the circle for your size.
Stage: foundation
The dress starts from the bottom of the hem. For size 46 you need to cast on 190 stitches on your knitting needles. As a result, this number will result in 19 rappots. Since 10 loops are useful for one. Knit in circular rows and preferably with circular knitting needles. Without changing, knit to the waist line and you will get an even cylinder, which is very similar to the cut of a pencil skirt.
Then start decreasing from the waist line. Make unnoticeable decreases and it is better to reduce by one repeat in every 15th row so as not to displace the pattern of the canvas. Knit from the waist line to the armhole (this is approximately 20 cm from the waist line). Next, knit the front and back separately. And for the armhole, decrease in every second row by simply casting off by 1 stitch. Knit this way for 20 cm.
Stage: Gate
To get such a collar, you need to cast on additional loops along the edge (in places of the sleeves that are not provided for this model). Cast on about 20 stitches for each side. Gather all the loops into a single circle and knit 5 cm for the collar using a 2*2 elastic band.
Close the loops and the dress is ready. It does not require assembly, but it really needs the first fitting.
This is how you can easily and simply create beautiful things with knitting needles, which are beautiful and very fashionable. If all the loops are made evenly, then you may not be able to distinguish products knitted with your own hands from products made on a knitting machine.
