- twist the bottom of the fabric;
- fold the narrow part in half and pin off the ends with a needle;
- tie a knot from both sides;
- fold the tip of the fabric and pin it to the fabric;
- form a shuttlecock and pin it on the other side;
- unfold the flounce, pin both sides of the fabric;
- take the right side of the shuttlecock, secure it with a pin, wrap it around your neck and pull it in the opposite direction;
- take the remaining part by the tip, pin it in the center and secure;
- Pin the fabric on the sides and secure it along the chin.
IMPORTANT! This method of tying is preferred by Muslim women who are over 45–50 years old.
With the ends extended
A hijab with extended ends will cover not only your head, but also your neck. That's why This method of tying is suitable not only for summer thin fabrics, but also for woolen and down products for the winter season.
- Place the fabric in the center of the head and secure it with pins on both sides.
- Grab the right side with both hands so that the fabric forms a hanging triangle shape.
- Fold this part back so that a fold is formed.
- Place it on your forehead and secure the tip with a needle or pin.
- Place the left side behind your head, passing it under the chin in a wide fold.
- Pin both ends together.
- Pin the left side to the right side and secure the end to the other.
- Place it in the center and secure with a safety pin.
Braided into hair
In the summer, a scarf woven into the hair looks original. A thin rectangular fabric is suitable for this. How to proceed?
- Divide your hair into three equal sections.
- Take the material in your hands exactly in the middle and connect the ends with the two outer strands of hair, braid it. Leave the ends of the fabric unraveled.
- Throw the braid over your head.
- Tie the ends of the fabric to the base of the braid and pull them under the hair to the crown or leave them above the ear.

There is another way to weave a scarf into a braid and still cover your head.
