- scissors (tailoring scissors - for cutting off trouser legs, manicure scissors - for making frayed edges);
- sandpaper;
- needles or hook.
In addition, in the process of transforming the product, you may need matching threads, a pencil or chalk, a ruler, glue or a sewing machine (to secure the fabric).

What types of fringes can be made

- Cut off the hem of the shorts.

- After drying, the fabric is secured. To do this, you can machine stitch or apply a thin line of colorless glue.
How to make medium frayed fringe
- Cut off the hem of shorts or cut off the legs of jeans.
- Sand the edges of the cuts with sandpaper.
Advice! If you don’t have sandpaper at hand, you can make cuts about 2 cm deep around the entire circumference. Leave a distance of 5-7 mm between the cuts.
- Secure the fabric above the frayed threads with glue or stitching.
How to make fringe very frayed
- The bottom cut of the product is made.
- Using a sharp object (scissors, needle, hook) to the required depth, they destroy the structure of the canvas, which after cutting has become loose. It is recommended to make about 5 cuts on a piece of fabric (from 3 to 7 cm).Then leave part of the fabric (3 - 4 cm) untouched and make 5 cuts again. Continue work along the entire circumference of the trouser leg.

- Once completed, the shorts are machine washed without adding other items to the drum.

How to decorate shorts with ready-made fringe
