A sweater is a necessary thing for the cold season. Girls who actively follow fashion prefer to wear knitted sweaters. They not only have an original look, but are also very warm. In addition, it is not necessary to knit clothes in a single color. To slightly diversify the model, you can insert some kind of pattern, for example, a heart, during the knitting process. Knitting such a sweater will not be difficult, since the knitting pattern can be classic, but only at the bottom of the item there will be hearts.
Materials
To create clothes, it is important to prepare the following tools and materials:
- yarn - 500 m (for a sweater, the color and thickness of the thread can be any);
- yarn – 50 g (for the heart);
- circular knitting needles No. 3, length 60-100 cm;
- circular knitting needles No. 4, length 60-100 cm.
Creating a backrest
Procedure:
- To work, take needles No. 3 and cast on 80 loops.
- Start knitting the strip. Its length will be 3 cm or 11 rows of elastic.You need to start with 1 purl row, and then remove 1 loop in each purl row. The output should be 79 loops.
- Next, include number 4 needles in the process for knitting in satin stitch. Just first knit 10 rows with white thread, and 14 rows with bright pink thread. Then go back to knitting with white yarn.
- When 37.5 cm is knitted, close the middle 15 loops from the bar to form the neck. Now knit the two formed parts separately.
- Closing along the inner edge in every second row 1x3 loops and 2 x 2 loops will help make the neck round.
- When 40 cm is knitted, close off 25 shoulder loops from the bar.
Front end
To create the front of the sweater, you need to use the same pattern as for the back, just provide a heart-shaped pattern. Procedure:
- Knit 11 cm, and then from the bar knit on the middle 39 loops according to the pattern. Knit on both sides of the heart using stockinette stitch using white yarn.
- When the last row of the pattern is completed, continue knitting on all stitches with white threads, using the stockinette stitch method.
- When 34 cm is knitted, close the middle loops from the bar to create a deeper neckline.
- To round the neck, you need to close the inner edge in every second row: 1x3 loops, 1x2 loops, 4 1 loop.
Sleeves
The procedure for creating sweater sleeves:
- The sleeves are knitted in the transverse direction. The garter strap comes later.
- Take size 4 knitting needles and cast on 60 stitches. Start knitting in stockinette stitch.
- When 27 cm is knitted, close off all the loops from the first row.
- Cast on 54 stitches along the right edge of needle No. 3. Tie an elastic band for the strap. You need to start from the first purl row.
- When the height of the bar is 3 cm, close all the loops.
By analogy, the second sleeve is knitted.
Assembly
When all the parts have been connected, you can begin assembling the entire product. The whole process is carried out as follows:
- Stretch the sweater elements, following the dimensions indicated in the pattern.
- Cover with a damp cloth and wait until dry.
- Sew shoulder seams.
- Along the edge of the neckline, string 84 stitches onto circular knitting needles and knit in round rows. The width of the elastic should be 3 cm.
- Close the loops and sew in the sleeves. Only its middle should be aligned with the shoulder seam.
- All that remains is to sew the seams on the sides and sleeves.
Using this technique of knitting a sweater, you can get a product for both adults and children. In addition, the heart-shaped pattern can be placed anywhere: on the sleeves, in the center. It is better to choose more contrasting shades of yarn, for example, the entire sweater will be white and the heart will be red, or the main tone will be black and the pattern will be coral.
