Technical drawing of clothing is a necessary stage in the process of developing a clothing model.

Each model is the result of the creative developments of the fashion designer, reflected in sketches and technical drawings. This is understandable - until the thing is thought out to the smallest detail, it is not possible to create the correct patterns and cut it out.

Drawings (sketches) are divided into several types:

1. A fore-sketch is the first sketch of your idea. The drawing is performed without observing the proportions of the human body or drawing the details of the model. This is the beginning of your thought, a spontaneous image, the embodiment of a flight of fancy.

3. The third stage of modeling is Technical drawing (sketch). This is the most important stage - after it, the construction of patterns for the future clothing model begins.

The technical drawing of the model is the final stage of modeling. Based on this drawing, clothing manufacturers perceive the designer’s idea and turn it into reality. It must accurately convey the proportions of the figure, but without drawing it.

It consists of neat lines on a plane that clearly convey the design of the model with the drawing of all the details, elements, and stitches. This is a diagram for making precise patterns. Performed using a graphic editor or manually.

The technical drawing shows the front and rear views. If the model has lining features, the back of the product is demonstrated; if the pockets have a complex configuration, this detail is added with additional clarifications.
