Making a pattern

• Fold a large sheet of paper in half. Draw two semicircles. The first should correspond to the waist circumference divided by two. The second, larger one, should be equal to the length of the product.

• Lay the template on the fabric, secure with pins and cut out.
• Make as many blanks of material as there are layers of the skirt you want to make.

• Cut three pieces of fabric with a width equal to the waist diameter + 2 cm for allowances.

• Gather the top of the lining with thread, then sew on the elastic.

Useful tips

• A fluffy skirt can be sewn not only from tulle. Tulle, veil, and organza are also suitable. Such fabrics can only be ironed on low heat.
• Be sure to iron each stitched seam.
• Do not sew pieces with long or very small stitches. In the first option, the material will gather. The second can damage the fabric.
• Satin, silk, twill or cotton are suitable for the lining skirt. They require a different heating mode for the iron.
• Be careful when you begin the final stage - ironing the finished item
