Where to use old bed linen?
There are plenty of second life options for bedding that is unsuitable for its intended purpose:
Original retro applications
You can update tired clothes or create a unique design using stripes from old pillowcases. You can place them on any part of your clothing. This creates a vintage style that is now at the peak of fashion. Collars and cuffs look especially interesting. Bags and backpacks are decorated in the same way.
Accessories
Representatives of the fair sex strive for originality. This is not surprising; individual items, especially handmade ones, stand out from the crowd.
Old bed linen can be used to sew an unusual bag. You can also make beads or bracelets.And if you cover the buttons with fabric, you get an interesting vintage decoration. The patch stitched along the edges can be used as a belt, bandage or headband.
Bedding or rugs
An old duvet cover will make a wonderful pet bed. You can sew a new one, stuffing it with soft filling, or make a cover for an existing one. Among other things, such a bed will smell like its owner.
If you divide old linen into strands, you can weave an original rug. For beauty, use different sets. If you accumulate several sets, you can come up with any design. Another interesting solution is a patchwork carpet. First, individual blocks are made, then they are stitched into a single fabric.
Such products are durable and will serve their owners for a long time. In addition, they show that the hostess has golden hands.

Another interesting idea that is very easy to implement is a patchwork style bedspread or blanket. This technique gives a huge scope for imagination, and the product will look very original.

The most common and affordable option for using old bed linen. In the kitchen or at the dacha, you always need to wipe or dry something, so towels quickly become unusable and require replacement.
This is where old bed linen comes in handy: just cut it into pieces of the required size and hem the edges. For beauty, you can combine several colors or cut out an unusual shape.
Decorating pillows

Hut (wigwam)
An excellent option for those who have children in their household. Remember how, as children, we built huts at home from blankets and pillows? Imagine how happy a child will be if he has his own wigwam, which does not need to be disassembled before bedtime! Here you can play, sleep or do homework.
Making a wigwam is very simple. It is enough to make a frame of sanded sticks, fasten them together, and throw a duvet cover on top.

An old sheet can serve as an excellent protection for furniture. It will protect from dust, various contaminants and fading. It can also be used to cover a sewing machine or vehicles.
Another option is a clothing case. It is convenient to store winter things in it in the summer, thanks to which they will not be afraid of moths, dust and bruises.

The dimensions of the bed linen allow you to make your own curtains.To do this, you need to cut it into pieces and sew them together. If you attach a polyethylene lining, then this product can be used in the shower room.
As it turns out, giving new life to old things is very simple. All you need is imagination and a little effort.

For all these manipulations, it’s a good idea to use underwear that has only been used for a short time (is there any point in this?), and old ones are only suitable for rags, because... creates dust from microparticles of old fabric. At one time, I was stopped in time from the idea of making covers for clothes from old sheets/duvet covers. In the sunlight you can clearly see how much fabric dust is raised simply when changing bed linen! Not even very old.
