You may have problems ironing a sheet with an elastic band. But if you pull it onto the mattress and iron it, it will look perfect.

4 ways to properly fold a fitted sheet

If you purchased a sheet with an elastic band, you do not need to iron it every day for it to look decent. You just need to fold it correctly in the morning, and then, when you lay it out before going to bed, make sure that it is smooth and even.

Method No. 1

When you wake up in the morning and remove the sheet from the sofa or bed, the first thing you do is turn it inside out. Place your hands in two adjacent corners and slide one corner over the other. Now you have two corners in your hands. Spread them out, add a third corner, and then put a fourth on top.

Shake until all folds are straightened and the layers of fabric flow. Place the resulting rectangle on a flat surface with the elastic bands facing up - they should lie with a corner in the shape of the letter “L”.

Smooth out the sheet with your hands again, fold it three times vertically, and then three times horizontally. Now a neatly folded product will take up very little space in the closet, and not like before, when you crumpled the sheet and tried to stuff it on the shelf in this form.

Method number 2

You can do it a little differently. Spread a sheet on the sofa, find all four corners. Insert the upper right corner into the lower right corner so that it is inside the lower one and turns inside out. Do the same with the left corners.

Place your hands in the two corners formed and shake the sheet so that the fabric is even. Connect the two corners by tucking one into the other. Lay out the resulting rectangle on the sofa with the elastic bands facing up. We level it with our hands, visually divide it into three parts and fold each one on top of each other.

A long rectangle can be folded into three or five more. This depends on whether you will store the sheet on a closet shelf or in a chest of drawers.

Method number 3

Lay out the sheet on the sofa or bed in half so that the elastic is on one long side. Roll horizontally in three layers. Fold the part where the elastic is located to half the width. Fold in half, straighten and turn over. Make a pocket from one of the edges into which you place the remaining three pieces.

Method number 4

This simplest method is suitable for lazy people. Lay out the sheet over its entire length, fold it in thirds and roll it into a roll.. It can be placed vertically in a closet. And to prevent the roll from unwinding until the evening, you can tie it with braid.

How to fold a round sheet - step by step instructions

It happens that round and sometimes oval sheets with an elastic band are used on children's cribs. To fold such a product, proceed as follows:

  1. Fold the sheet in half.
  2. Fold the resulting semicircle in half again.
  3. Straighten and straighten the sheet.
  4. Fold the middle of the circle towards the edge.

You now have a rectangle that can be rolled up.

A fitted sheet is a convenient invention. And if you master the rules of folding it, then you won’t have any hassle with storing this linen.
