A wedding is considered one of the most important and exciting events in a woman’s life. Any bride wants every detail to be thought out and brought to perfection. One of the important accessories is the pillow on which the wedding rings lie.

Sewn by the hands of the bride, it will be an excellent addition to glasses and other permanent attributes that can be stored in the future as a family heirloom.
Brides who want to sew an accessory for rings themselves must first decide on the shape and style of the future product. Please note the following recommendations:
- For those who want to create an original thing that stands out from the general concept and style of the celebration, you can sew a pillow of an unusual shape and decorate it with bright elements - artificial flower buds, rhinestones, stones, beads or buttons of an original shape.
- Adherents of the classics will be pleased with models of the usual square or oval shape, decorated with one laconic ribbon that serves as a holder.
Embroidery gives special originality to products of this kind. The initials or names of the newlyweds, the wedding date, or the day the couple in love met can be embroidered.
What you need to create
Interesting! The beautiful tradition of carrying rings on a special pillow came to us from Europe. They replaced the saucers and boxes in which receptionists had previously presented rings to newlyweds.
Once everything is determined with the design of the accessory, you can start working. The first thing you need to do is prepare the necessary materials and accessories. It will be easiest for those brides who sewed their wedding dress to order. For a pillow, you can take leftover materials and consumables, freeing yourself from tedious shopping trips.

For those who have to buy fabric separately, it is better to opt for such formal and “rich” fabrics as satin, satin, and silk. In addition to them, for work you will need:
- sewing needles, threads (plain and multi-colored for embroidery, if it is expected);
- padding material (holofiber, padding polyester, foam rubber);
- scissors;
- cardboard and a simple pencil;

Instructions
Once all the necessary materials are available, you can begin to create. You can use the master class described below as a template. At will and discretion, the decor can be replaced with other elements, the pillow can be supplemented with embroidery or shiny drops of rhinestones.
Process step by step:
- A template measuring 10x10cm is cut out of cardboard. The fabric prepared for the base is folded in half with the right side inward. Draw the outline of the cardboard blank on the fabric, making a small indentation for the seams.
- The prepared wide lace is placed on the front side of the satin square close to the edges. For reliability, lace that has not yet been sewn is secured with invisible pins.
- Place the other half on the front side and also fasten them with pins.
- The blanks are sewn by machine or by hand using a back (forward) stitch with a needle. The needles that fixed the lace are removed.
- One part of the pad is left unstitched. Through the resulting hole, the product is turned inside out and used for stuffing.
- The hole on the pad is closed with a neat stitch.
- A thin satin ribbon, the ends of which have been previously singed with a lighter or matches, is encircled around the center of the pillow, tying it with a bow so that the lace is on top (bottom).
- For reliability, the bow is sewn on.
- In the center of the bow you need to glue a large bead or rhinestone, which will hold the rings.
