Does the cooler fabric stretch or not?

KulirkaKulirka is a variation of knitted textiles, distinguished by both its thinness and smoothness. The fabric is formed by cross-knitting a uniform weave. The composition consists mainly of purified cotton fibers. But the manufacturer can also add lycra and elastane to give elasticity to the fabric. The properties of this material do not change, but the scope of use increases.

How to tell by the appearance of the product whether the cooler stretches

Important! Kulirka is produced with different densities of the fabric. If a thinner fabric is intended for underwear, then a denser fabric is for sewing outer knitwear. The structure of the cuff fabric is similar to stocking knitting: on the outside there are braids made of loops, and on the inside there are small “bricks”. Thanks to this structure, it is able to hold its shape perfectly, practically without stretching in length, but it stretches very well in width.

What determines whether the cooler fabric stretches or not?

KulirkaSoftness, elasticity and strength depend not only on the density of the weave, but also on the type of material used. The following fibers are used for the production of woven fabric:

  • Long fibers. They are used for penye yarn and come in sizes up to 79mm. Such long-fiber yarn is considered quite practical, elastic and expensive, because the quality of the fabric depends on its length - elasticity, retention of shape along the length, and also stretch across the width. The pene kulir eliminates shrinkage and prevents pilling, thanks to the mandatory grinding of the fiber for the yarn.
  • Medium fiber. Their length reaches 35 mm and is used for Carde yarn, which is not so durable and can be stretched more strongly, and is therefore more affordable.
  • Short fibers. Used for “Open end” yarn with a length of up to 27 mm. Most often, underwear is made from it, when maintaining an ideal shape is not such an important element. The “Open end” cooler is considered the most affordable.

What fibers in the composition of kulirka products contribute to the stretching of the fabric?

Washing fabric, depending on additional materials, has the following types:

  • The classic look consists exclusively of cotton, which can both allow air to pass through and absorb moisture, and also does not cause allergies, which is suitable for making clothes for children.
  • A stretch cooler that contains lycra. This type of fabric stretches more than the classic one, without losing its original shape and retains its color much longer.
  • Cooler with polyester. This type of fabric is highly resistant and protects the human body from exposure to ultraviolet rays. The material does not tend to stretch or deform, and does not require special care.

What types of coolers don't stretch at all?

Types of coolers

The presence of polyester in the lining fabric means that it cannot stretch. It is also worth noting that the presence of synthetic additives can lead to some negative qualities:

  • short cotton fibers will begin to fluff;
  • the pile is able to stretch over synthetic threads, which are more elastic;
  • in the shortest possible time the fabric will be covered with pellets.

Important! Thus, the presence of synthetic fiber in the cooler should not exceed a third of the total composition, while fibers of natural origin should be long and smooth (pene or carde).

In conclusion, it is worth noting that woven fabric is most often used for lightweight children's clothing, due to its hypoallergenicity, comfort and style. Also, clothes and such material do not hinder movement, which is very important for active and growing children. But in the absence of proper care, the fabric shrinks greatly - you need to pay attention to washing such things.
