We measured our back using a measuring tape.
Then knit a small square using a 2*2 elastic band, and determine the knitting density for it (how many loops and how many rows there are in 10 cm of the 2*2 elastic pattern). Next, you need to convert the cm into loops, and you can begin the creative process.
Rubber
Knitting starts from the top of the waistband and continues down. First you need to cast on loops for the elastic band. Already determined the size. For example, for a waist of 68 cm you will need 140 loops, plus additional loops for the outer parts in the fastener area. Knit 2*2 elastic bands according to the pattern and add 4 additional loops for fastening. Two loops on each side and perform them with simple facial loops. Don't forget about 2 edges, since knitting is not circular. We knitted the height for the elastic according to our model. For this belt, 20 cm was used.

After the elastic is completed, the front fabric is used. To do this, simply move from the 2*2 elastic loops to a new pattern without adding or subtracting loops. And in the first row, every 4 loops we make yarn overs for an additional elastic band of the belt. In the next purl row, knit the yarn over together with the purl loop using a simple purl stitch. Continue to knit 6 rows without crochets and start decreasing.
Decreases
To decrease, you should decrease 2 stitches on each side in every second row. Knit this way until the length of the front fabric is 20 cm. Then simply close the loops. You can use special elastic edge methods for closing, then the belt will be even tighter along the bottom edge.
Assembly
All that remains is to fasten the fasteners on the inside of the belt so that it fits more tightly to the body. Additionally, insert an elastic band into the places where the yarn overs were made. But do not tighten the rubber band too tightly.
