What is poya wool?

Poyark wool is a biomaterial that was harvested from lambs between 5 and 7 months of age. It is soft and does not roll down. Unlike other types, it has improved performance properties, while it has more shine, is stronger than ordinary wool and gives a greater yield of pure fiber.

Characteristics of wool wool

poyarokUnlike raw materials clipped from adult animals, clippings from young animals have a number of undeniable advantages:

  • softer;
  • scattered;
  • elastic;
  • uneven crimp.

Important! Fine, clearly sorted wool is used for the production of children's textiles, as well as as a filling in pillows and quilts. It retains heat well and removes moisture outside.

After shearing, the raw materials, contaminated and uneven in color, are sorted. Subsequently, it is used to create yarn of a lower grade, which is valued much cheaper than the first-grade soft wool of young lambs.

Pros and cons of yarn

Poyarok is known as the finer wool of young lambs, which is overwhelmingly composed of down and fine guard hairs. It is heterogeneous and requires serious investments in the production of yarn. However, the produced thread has increased elasticity and softness, which is very pleasant to the body.

The main advantages of poyark yarn are highlighted:

  • red woolsoftness (fine-wool breeds of lamb produce very soft raw materials, which produce an almost weightless, soft thread, ideal for use in knitting children's clothes and accessories);
  • elasticity and elasticity (despite the heterogeneity of the raw material, the yarn has increased elasticity and easily takes its usual shape after washing or deforming the item);
  • lightness (products made from yarn are light and weightless);
  • increased thermal conductivity (despite the lightness and thinness, things made from such threads retain heat well);
  • high hygroscopicity (the fabric removes moisture well from the body, while remaining dry and durable).

Important! Yarn wool is considered an excellent raw material for spinning. Yarn thread is used primarily in hardware knitting.

Disadvantages include instability to abrasion and loss of strength when wet.. Items made from wool require careful wear and timely careful care. Only in this case will they retain their performance properties.

What else is it called?

threadsIn some sources, this type of wool is called “poyarok”. This is the general name for raw material shorn from young lambs in the spring. Less homogeneous, not forming a full-fledged fleece, but much softer than the raw material of adult sheep breeds. This distinguishes it from all the main types of wool for spinning.
