Beading may seem like an overly complicated activity that requires a lot of specific skills and abilities. This is true. However, you just have to master the basic techniques and weaving, and you will be able to master almost all crafts and products. Such weavings include mosaic. It is considered the most popular and in demand. It is for this that most schemes and master classes are created.
Technique
To master mosaic weaving, you need to prepare certain materials. First of all, these are the beads themselves (it is better to take No. 10 made in the Czech Republic), a needle, nylon thread or thin fishing line. Once everything you need is at hand, you can begin:
- An even number of beads (20 pcs.) are collected onto the thread.
- The empty needle is returned back, threading it through the empty bead. And so on until the end of the row.
- In the next row, one “top” bead is placed on each “bottom” bead.
- To make the third row, you need to unroll the weaving and perform the same actions, again picking up one bead at a time, passing the needle through one.
The result is a strong fabric with a clearly visible checkerboard arrangement of beads.
Advice! To prevent it from looking cut off, at the beginning of each row you need to collect two, not one, beads.
Mosaic technology allows you to create flexible crafts, three-dimensional figures, jewelry and accessories. It is even used for embroidering paintings. The main thing is to use beads of the same size so that the fabric is smooth and even.
