Weaving step by step

Following the instructions below, you will be able to weave a piece with a diameter of 12 cm.

Creating a bud

A rose, like any other flower, consists of petals. Weaving begins with them, using the French technique.

  • First row. An axle is made from wire, to which a piece equal to 55 cm is wound. 5 beads are strung on the axle, and four turns are made around it with beads of a different shade. In this way you need to weave 3 petals.
  • Second. A piece of wire 75 cm long is wound to the prepared axle.Place 5 beads on the axis, make 4 turns and give the petals the desired shape, slightly bending the tip outward.
  • Third. An axle is made from wire, a piece 95 cm long is wound to it, 8 turns.

  • Fourth. Two 17 cm lengths are wound to the axle and twisted together at the bottom. A wire 150 cm long is wrapped around the axis. Place 2 beads on the right one and 3 on the left. In the first row, 3 beads are added between the axes and then incrementally, making 11 turns. In this case, it is better to make the last 2-3 from beads of a different color. In this way you need to weave 4 petals.
  • Fifth. In this row, the elements are created from three axes, while the longest wire can be 200 cm. The weaving is the same as in the previous four.

The bud is assembled as follows: rows are screwed to a thick wire one after another from largest to smallest. In this case, the petals are placed inside each other. The structure is secured in the same way.

Important! To make the product more stable, the bud can be glued to the base.

Receptacle

Experienced craftsmen recommend using the jagged leaf technique. To do this, screw a 15 cm long axle onto a segment of 80 cm and string green beads onto it. To make a row, you need to use approximately 40–45 elements. The finished sepals are attached to the bud and wrapped with wire and beads in 12 turns.

Leaves and stems

To make the product look more attractive, it is better to achieve a pointed shape.

  1. 5 beads are placed on the axis, a piece of wire equal to 75 cm is taken.
  2. Make 2 sheets of 7 turns and one of 6.
  3. The finished elements are secured with tape.

The stems, in turn, are made of wire, which is pre-wrapped with green floral tape.

Shutdown

All that remains is to combine all the parts together and cover the joints with floral tape. To keep the rose well in the pot, it can be inserted into polystyrene foam or filled with plaster mortar. You can fill the space or disguise the resulting surface with beads or stones.
