Without which part would the sewing process be impossible? That's right, without a needle. It is needed both for manual work and when using a machine. In the latter version, needles are considered almost the most key element, even not so much attention is paid to the choice of the main device. But if ordinary thin needles are used in hand sewing, then completely different ones are needed for an automated or mechanical device.
Types of needles for sewing machines

For working with leather products (natural, eco)
It, like knitwear, cannot be pierced in the classic form. The best option would be teething, which can only be accomplished with a special needle. As a result, holes of the correct shape are formed, from which cracks or “arrows” will not appear. A needle with a cutting edge, designated by the letters H-LR, H-LL, was created especially for working with such capricious material.
For denim
Denim fabrics love to be worked with needles with a rounded point. Their rod is supplemented with a cross-section of the groove. Numbers - from 14 to 16 (90–100).
Double
Necessary for work requiring double stitching. Used in machines that have a zigzag mode.
With wings
Equipped with blades designed to create stitching holes along the seam. They are formed due to the fact that the wings push the threads in the material apart.
Self-refueling
In another way they are called “easy to thread”. Features include the presence of a slot leading to the eyelet. It makes refueling quick and easy. However, such a needle can only be used when working with medium-weight fabrics.
In addition to these standard varieties, there are also specialized needles for sewing machines. These include those designed for embroidery, quilting, and working with metallized fabrics.
