Fixies is the favorite cartoon series of many children. Original and colorful characters explain to kids the basics of everyday life in a playful way. Interesting stories are always accompanied by useful comments. When a child watches another episode of a cartoon, he remembers important information that will be useful to him in the future in life. The main idols of the kids are Nolik and Simka. They are the ones who take part in most stories together with Dim Dimych, the main character of the cartoon. The child probably dreams of being in the image of his favorite character at a holiday or children's party. To make your dream come true, all you need to do is make a fixie suit with your own hands. It won’t take much time, but such a gift will bring a lot of joy to the baby.
DIY Fixie costume for a boy – Nolik’s outfit
Nolik is a five-year-old child who constantly wants to play and have fun. At the same time, some incidents always happen to him that make young viewers smile.It is this fixie that boys choose in most cases as their idol. To make a costume of your favorite hero, we will need:
- bright, rich material of blue or green hue;
- gray material;
- a little foam for hair;
- glue gun;
- fabric with a metallic shade of good density; it will go to the belt.
Now you can get to work. Will make up a costume from the following parts:
- Fixie sweater. The sweater pattern is available on many online resources. You need to find a suitable option and transfer the layout to blue-green material. It is important to carefully follow all details. Then we cut out the elements. Nolik's sweater is decorated with a stand-up; padding can be added to the top and front of the sleeves to make the outfit more voluminous. The jumper should be decorated with a special picture. You can paint it on fabric or buy a patch at a sewing store.
- Trousers. Cut out on blue-green fabric. An elastic band is inserted into the belt. An applique picture is sewn on or drawn by hand.
- Hairstyle. The base of the cap is made of foam rubber. It fits on the child's head, but should not be too loose. Just in case, it’s better to add an elastic band at the bottom, then the hairstyle will definitely not fall off and will sit firmly. Based on the image of a real hero, we make several pieces of foam rubber in the form of a parallelepiped. Three to five pieces will be enough. Afterwards we cut them, observing the diagonal, and paint them with blue paint. We glue the elements onto the base in tiers using a glue gun. There should be no voids on the base. If any appear, insert foam rubber of a suitable shape.
- Shoes. You need to take comfortable sneakers or sneakers of a suitable color. Thread gray laces into them.
- Belt.For the belt we will need gray material. We cut out a straight strip, hem the lining fabric and sew on the fastener. It could be a button or Velcro. To make a plaque on a belt, just glue metallic fabric over the Velcro.
- Gloves. We make simple mittens from gray fabric and draw Nolik’s logo on the outside.
How to make a fixie suit with your own hands - Simka's outfit
The cartoon “Fixies” is liked not only by boys, but also by girls. Little princesses are delighted with Simka's image. A character with bright orange hair and a cheerful costume evokes only positive emotions. Making Simka's costume is not difficult, the principle is the same as when creating the image of Nolik. We make each detail separately:
- Hairstyle. The base for the wig is made of foam rubber, just like in Nolik’s costume. The figures that will be applied to the hairstyle differ. They should be in the form of long ribbons, not parallelepipeds. These are elongated triangles that are attached around the circumference of the base. To make an analogue of a bun, foam tops are formed on the top of the head. Afterwards, the resulting hairstyle is painted with orange paint.
- Costume. The model of the suit itself resembles ordinary children's pajamas. We will make it from fleece in three colors - red, yellow and orange. We use orange material for cutting. We take a pattern of any pajamas for children. In this case, it is necessary to leave one and a half centimeters for the seams. For inserts we use red and yellow material. There are several options for decorating a costume. You can sew a red vest, wear it over basic pajamas, or decorate the outfit with stripes of yellow and red on the sides of the trousers and jacket.
- Shoes.Regular house slippers will do here. They will become the basis. We'll cover them with orange fleece, add red stripes and yellow elements.
