Everyone likes the elf dress - both little princesses and grown girls. There are many types of outfits, depending on which character we are talking about. The pattern of an elven dress is quite simple; in most cases it involves an asymmetry in the cut, a sleeve flared from the elbow and a long skirt that flares towards the bottom. If the suit is made from leather-like material, the edges are usually not processed. This gives the impression that the model is made of animal skin. Long sleeves are often secured at the wrists with special ties. When creating such a costume, you can show maximum imagination. Sewing an elf dress with your own hands - a simplified version
Given the variety of assortments, it is difficult to choose a specific dress that would represent the elf style. These are themed outfits, the pattern of which is no different from the patterns of other dresses. How to make an elf dress with your own hands:
- The base should be a dress with a long skirt. Material: organza or satin. In principle, a purchased version will do, you just have to supplement it with elongated sleeves, which are visually associated with wings. But if you want to create a unique image, it is better to sew the outfit yourself.
- The pattern for any long dress will work. On the finished layout, lengthen the sleeves by about one third and widen them. They will have cuts approximately up to the elbow. The skirt can be slightly lengthened along the back pattern to create an imitation train.
- You can add originality to your costume using a raincoat. To do this, you will need a satin or satin material of a light shade. The fabric must be measured according to height. On paper we draw a cone - rounded corners at the bottom of the cloak, the upper part narrows for the neck. You can sew a satin ribbon or leather ties as a fastener. The raincoat needs to be finished around the edges to make the fabric look neat.
You can complement the look with jewelry made of genuine leather - bracelets or a leather strap around the neck. It is better to let your hair down or braid it. There is a simple scheme on how to give your hair a non-standard look. Take three sheets of felt of different colors - green, brown and beige. Cut out leaves of approximately the same size. Make ears from beige felt. Find any hoop and attach leaves and ears to it using a glue gun. Now the image of the elf is completely completed.
