It is enough to show a little imagination and take the time to update the interior of the room. Denim material has many advantages - it is durable, washes well, does not deform and is always in fashion. In the photo, a pillowcase made of jeans always looks original and non-standard. If you make a pillow yourself, it will be a truly exclusive thing. You don’t have to buy the material in the store; you can make pillows from old jeans. They are no different from products made from purchased fabric. Any idea can be realized using patchwork, if the material is not enough to create solid fragments.

DIY decorative denim pillows - necessary materials

To make denim pillows, you will need to prepare:

• All pieces of denim material that are in stock.If they are of different shades, that’s only better;
• Old jeans, if any, or denim material;
• A spool of blue thread;
• Lining fabric. Size – half a meter by meter;
• Snake;
• Sewing machine;
• Iron for ironing parts during work;
• Needle, pins, scissors.

If you don't have a sewing machine, you can work by hand. If you plan to make not a pillowcase, but a pillow, you will need filler. It can be different - padding polyester, padding polyester, holofiber, batting and others.

For work, we make sixteen squares of jeans with ten-centimeter edges. We take the material in light and dark shades. Progress of further work:

1. We sew four squares into strips. At the end of the work we get four fragments. We smooth each detail with an iron.
2. We connect the strips together, ironing each seam again. We get the front part of the pillowcase measuring 36x36 centimeters. The seam width is one centimeter.
3. Cut strips from old jeans. We use the front part and make four fragments. Each strip is seven centimeters wide and thirty-six centimeters long.
4. We make four more stripes, increasing the length to forty-six centimeters.
5. We sew each short strip to the opposite edges of the checkered square. Iron all seams.
6. Now you need to sew the remaining sides with long stripes and iron them again. There is no need to treat the seams; they will be hidden by the lining material.
7. Now you can decorate the product. From the remnants of the fabric, cut oval-shaped leaves with a zigzag.
8. Again, cut strips forty centimeters long. Width about five. The stripes should be cone shaped. Fold them in half and twist them into roses.
9. We will secure the rose with a thread on the back side so that it does not fall apart.We form three such flowers.
10. Place flowers and leaves on the square. When working with stretch jeans, you will need adhesive interlining to strengthen the fabric. We strengthen the application site.
11. We sew on the first part of the design - roses, then surround them with leaves. We make veins on the leaves using seams. This is where the decor work ends.
12. Let's move on to the back of the pillow. We cut out two rectangular parts and two stripes. The size of the upper part of the product is 46x46 centimeters. We make rectangles - 46x40 centimeters. Stripes – 46x10.
13. We sew the snake between the strip and the rectangular fragment. The pillow again takes the shape of a 46x46 square. Excess fabric can be trimmed.
14. We cut out 2 more squares from the lining material, connect them right sides together and pin them together.
15. We make a double machine seam around the perimeter and trim the edges. Turn the product inside out.
16. Fill the pillowcase with foam rubber or insert a ready-made pillow.
