• A piece of non-woven fabric;
• A small piece of material.

First, let's prepare a pattern of the animal. It could be a monkey, a cat, a horse or any other animal. The pattern is transferred to a piece of non-woven fabric, cut out and ironed. When transferring the pattern, take into account the seam allowance. We reinforce the material with non-woven fabric. This will prevent it from fraying along the edge after cutting out the figure. Further:

1. Take white felt and cut out the inner background for the pot holder. It will be a square. The animal should be placed in the center of the square, leaving some distance to the edge. Sew the applique to the background.
